I work across painting, drawing, digital/photography and occasionally three-dimensional work.
My work is influenced by natural, organic, geometric and bodily forms, structures and processes.
I work with themes of growth, generation, survival, vulnerability, resourcefulness, resilience and entropy.
I work openly, intuitively and associatively with colour, form, light, line, space, surface and texture to make artworks that operate across abstraction and representation (if there is such a difference)
I work in stages or layers, painting over what has gone before, adding, removing, amending, reinforcing elements.
I often go too far, or further than I should. I often look back at work and think I should have stopped before I did. However, that is the way it is and I try and learn (‘fail better’) through the process.
I hope you enjoy the work and the site.
Thank you for looking.
