These were old books i’d had for years. Travelled from house to house, been boxed up, become brown and brittle and unusable but still I couldn’t part with them. They were like markers from particular parts of my life where they had a significance or meaning that remained part of them. I decided I wanted to preserve them and after a variety of treatments they became encases in plaster and paint. I bound some of them up together for company like survival packages that may be recovered in a distant future.
