These were my first paintings after a long hiatus. Maybe 2014. I’d been writing, walking, photographing and digital drawing but I just wanted to use a substance, a material, to paint and see how that worked. These were acrylic on canvas painted on the table in the front room of the flat. We were on the second floor and I used to enjoy looking out of the window at the sky and the buildings and the angles.
These were painted over to become Set 1 and Set 2.
