Painting

This was a concept painting that I planned and started before realising that I wanted to go off plan and explore other aspects of the painting process/experience. As such it is a failed, unsuccessful painting. I did not stick to it or commit to it sufficiently to be able to do it justice. The idea was a simple one: combine the film still of Laurel & Hardy with one of my stills from Indoor Firework. So far so good. It was a double or horizontally mirrored image on the upper and lower part of the work. This may not make sense. Here’s some images.
